The company’s name Red Dime came about when I was a young man and new to this country. We had a neighbor, Harry. After school, kids used to cut through his yard in order to go home. At times he would yell at them for it. One day I walked over to him as he was sitting on his front porch and asked: "Are you as bad as all the kids say you are?" He looked at me and murmured these words,"You got to be kidding. I just don’t want anyone to get hurt or have any damage done to my stuff."
As time went on we became good friends and he told me about his life. He taught me how to hunt and wood carve. To my surprise, I found out, he was a well-known artist and sculptor. With becoming a teen I got my first job and with it came my first paycheck. So I asked Harry out to lunch.
His reply was: "There’s no need to spend your last RED DIME on me! You may need that dime to make a phone call."
He used that phrase often, with his memory and honor as a friend I would like to extend that same thought and meaning to all of you. There’s no need to spend your last Red Dime on a new computer when your computer can be repaired, maintained or upgraded through good computer service.
